A Mythical Natural-type fruit that grants life-leeching abilities and umbra-based attacks for tactical takedowns of your enemies.
Release Date: November 05, 2021
Shadow is a Mythical Natural-type Blox Fruit that costs $2,900,000 or R$2,425 from the Blox Fruit Dealer. It allows the user to control shadows and cast umbra-based attacks that leech the life out of enemies. Shadow is usable for grinding due to the AoE on [V] Corvus Torment and the damage on [F] Umbrage, but it lacks multi-target attacks, as the moves [Z] Somber Rebellion and [C] Nightmare Leech are single target.

Shadow is considered one of the deadliest fruits in the game, especially when combined with Death Step and Cyborg v3 moves. It gives the user a purple shadow aura that increases in size and darkness based on the user's Umbra Meter level. The fruit allows the user to manifest and control shadows, turning them into a tangible physical form.
The user will always have an Umbra Meter bar on their screen. The meter fills up by dealing damage with Shadow abilities to enemies, and it fills up automatically at night. The Umbra Meter can only be drained by using [V] Corvus Torment.
The user will also get a shadow aura surrounding themselves that will be bigger and darker, depending on the amount of Umbra Meter they have. (Note: the Shadow aura does not deal damage to anyone, and is purely cosmetic.)
Can be used to escape combos (if timed correctly), as it flings the user into the air. This move has decent speed and is single-target based with high damage.
The bats have auto-aim and will fly towards the target if they're not too far away. This move has good range and is effective for both PvP and grinding.
Heals the user by 20% of their max health when in PvP, which can be extremely useful when the player is low on health. This life-drain mechanic is similar to Ghoul's life leech.
Causes extreme damage with a huge hitbox, AoE, and stun especially when used with full Umbra Meter. Great for grinding, as most enemies will not escape the explosion.
Great for grinding and pairs really well with Cyborg V3 (energy core). This move deals significant damage and is effective against bosses.
Shadow is often compared to Venom in trading, with some players preferring Shadow for its combo potential and mobility, while others prefer Venom for its high damage output and area of effect.
For grinding, Dough fruit is generally a better choice due to its range and hitbox advantages. However, for PvP, Shadow has better combo potential, less endlag, more mobility, and bigger damage.
If you're already at max level, it's recommended to eat Shadow. However, if you're not at max level, it's better to keep the Buddha fruit until you reach that point.
Shadow fruit can be awakened by hosting Shadow Raids, which can be started by purchasing a chip from the Mysterious Scientist for either $1,000 or any physical fruit worth more than $1,000,000. The user will also need to complete a quest to be able to host this.
