Advanced Strategies
Pain is a high-risk, high-reward fruit that converts damage taken into additional power. Its unique Last Stand mechanic provides a powerful second life when you would otherwise die, making it excellent for PvP situations where you need that extra chance to turn the battle.
In combat, focus on absorbing Pain Ghosts to fill your Pain Meter quickly. A full meter significantly boosts your Normal Attack damage, reduces skill cooldowns, and increases your movement speed. When Last Stand activates, you gain enhanced abilities including longer dashes, higher jumps, increased movement speed, faster charging for holdable abilities, 60% damage reduction, 40% cooldown reduction, and nearly doubled M1 damage.
For grinding, Pain can be effective but requires careful management of its high knockback on the fourth M1 attack. Use combos like: 3 M1, Long held X, Tapped or Held C, 3 M1 (wait for NPC to come down), Held Z, Tapped V.
